Therapies 4 Adults © 2006

Intensive Therapy in conjuction with the TheraSuit™ consists of up to 4 hours of therapy (PT & OT) a day , 5 days a week for 3 weeks. This intensity results in improvements achieved sooner than with traditional physical therapy.

Intensive Therapy is usually a 60 hr program over 3 weeks. With traditional therapy, 60 hrs would normally be delivered over 30 weeks (avg. 2 hours per week) or 7 ½ months. The body requires repetition to learn new tasks; People with disabilities require many more repetitions to learn the same task, often thousands compared to hundreds of repetitions. Intensive Therapy helps to accomplish this goal.

Intensive Therapy use the Universal Exercise Unit with the Spider Cage to strengthen muscles. In addition, Intensive Therapy usually is combined with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to achive greater benefits from the Therapies.
